Liberalism chooses to ignore the Silent Majority

Liberalism chooses not to understand the pushback that is coming from the "tea party movement."

Liberals and their media apparatus choose to label them as tea baggers, racists, homophobic, radicals, etc... What they do not want to admit is that 65% of these people are hardworking, mortgage paying, dealing with the unfairness of life, middle class Americans who have had it with the binge spending and social experimentation of the liberals. They are fed up with their leaders not listening to them. For the very first time they are confronting the representatives and the representatives have chosen party over voters.

Richard Nixon Nixon exposed this group in 1969 with this pronouncement of the Silent Majority

The government passes a tax bill and the silent majority pays it. The government decides to pass another bill, only larger, and the middle class is so busy raising their families, paying their mortgage, preparing their children for college, and wrestling with the unfairness of life's problems, that they pay the bill and continue on with their lives.

The families have grown up. Their children are in college or have graduated from college and are out on their own, working at their job, getting married, and starting a new family. Mom and Dad have completed a job well done much like their parents did for them in the 60's and 70's.

Now the moms and dads have some new found freedoms and they are concentrating on retirement possibilities and starting to focus on the seemingly out of control taxing and spending of the government that they feel is encroaching on their retirement years.

Their lives and their retirement were built and paid for by a capitalist economy and now the fear is that capitalism is in the cross hairs of the Democrat party and their socialist tendencies. Everything they have worked for and saved for is in jeopardy as the government rushes in to places they do not belong.

The Democrats intent is leveling the playing field for all.  If you have worked like the ant all your life and the grasshopper has played and relied on the ant's generosity then with the Democrats blessing everyone is now equal and the ant must share that which he has worked for and saved for the future.

The Middle Class wants their country to work again. Something the liberals their ilks do not seem to grasp or refuse to understand.
