Moderate Democrats are not asking for Obama's help for re-election

The moderates in the Democrat party are not stupid. There are obvious clues all around them that the American people are as mad as rabid dogs about the going ons in Congress.

Moderates know that their head is on the chopping block in November. That does not mean their necks will be severed. What it does mean is that they do not want to give the voters another reason to remove them from office.

Asking Obama to come out to the hinterlands to help them campaign is like playing Russian roulette with a fully loaded gun. A certain political death.

Has nothing to do with race.

Has everything to do with political survival. Politicians can smell blood in the water and right now, to them, it smells like the Red Cross has had an awful accident.

Moderates are giving answers to why they don't want to be standing next to "Typhoid Mary" at a townhall meeting this Fall but none ring true. Check link below for some of their responses to not inviting the President to their fundraisers.

What I find interesting is, the further one moves away from conservatism, and closer to liberalism the more deaf they become to the voices of the voters and the closer they get to the voters backpockets.

Perfect example is Massachusetts. In Massachusetts, they could run a half eaten tuna sandwich with a spoiled glass of milk against any Republican (or before Obama was elected) and the tuna would win.

My how things have changed.

A Republican comes along to run in the newly opened seat of that late Kennedy guy and the Massies elect him for a "6 year Senate term." A puny little conservative "no-name" occupying the seat of the great Liberal Lion of the Senate, would be like George Bush running the Democrat Party relection committee for Obama in 2012.

Obama is like the bubonic plague of the 1300's. In the history of the Black Death (no pun intended) it has killed 200 million people.

Obama, in less than a year, has knocked the stool out from beneath Democrat party.  Of course he hasn't killed off the Democrat party but it has a real bad limp and 2 swollen eyes. There is a chance of serious amputations in November if Massachussetts is any indication.

Political lifers are just what it sounds like they are. They want to be in office for life. Presidents come and go every 4-8 years. Lifers know how to survive under extreme circumstances.

They have the money, the big guns, the connections on their side.

If nothing else, Scott Brown's victory proved that the American voters are more powerful than all the money and guns and connections in Washington DC.
