Open Carry Law and Concealed weapons argument

An Open Carry Law is the law that gives an individual with the right permit to openly carry a holstered gun. Different states have different laws. Each state has their own laws that allow or disallow the carrying of firearms on their person.
You can have a permit to carry a weapon in one state but the next state over may not allow you to carry the weapon if you have a valid permit- which it does not recognize in that particular state.
In Utah they have an open carry law with a valid permit for a concealed weapon. Recently there was a confrontation (peaceful) with a college student and a couple of security personnel on the campus of Utah Valley University.
Below you will find 2 six minute videos of the legal open carrying of a gun by a student being approached by campus security in regards to a complaint from someone on campus who saw the student with a firearm and became somewhat fearful and concerned.
Could it be that our society as a whole has been made to feel fearful at the sight of an open gun with school, workplace, and govermental shooting that have taken innocent lives? Is it an over reaction by those who see someone in "plain clothes" carrying a pistol that they are up to no good?
Should we change the law that will not allow undercover or plain clothes officers open carry if it makes others feel uncomfortable?

it's through the media thats people are programed to be a fraid of guns and many other things ; in my opion too enable the passing of more illagel laws to strip us of our freedoms ; they actually are telling falsehoods(or lies ) by useing only the facts and trueths that create a story that renforses thier views and end goals ( this means they tell only 1 to 15 present of the whole story , this is the most insidious form of disinforamtion ,lie of all ) and mandates . freedoms means you accept dangers and others freedoms to ensure the freedoms of all americans . all the laws that stripe any ones freedoms need to be deleted from books not just write new laws that contermaned other laws . i say every us citezyns should be able to open carry a firearm . it is our rite and part of what this country was founded on . it garrenties our freedom from Gov't abuse of power as well as protect us all from real criminal actions to all americans .
