The press has committed professional suicide

I wonder sometimes why I am so amazed at the press in this nation. Maybe my amazement is that our country from the beginning has always counted on a free and uncompromised press. A press, without prejudice, our country could depend on to give us accurate and unvarnished news

No more.

I am not sure when the press in this country crossed the line of credibility and lost their integrity. Reporting stories with a camouflaged liberal viewpoint started many years ago. Today, reporters have done away with the camouflage and make no effort to disguise their liberal viewpoint whatsoever.

They freely attack the right wing.They unmercifully crucified George Bush.  They have to tried to destroy Sarah Palin. They have aimed every poison ink pen they could find at her with little or no success. The press along with the liberals are scared to death of this woman.  I don't comprehend their ugliness other than to say they are sad and angry little creatures.

There coverage of political scandals is unequal and without merit. Good example is Mark Foley, a Republican who was banished from the House and pulverized in the press for his personal advances via emails on a couple of teenage interns.

Recently, Eric Massa, NY-D House member resigned over a political and personal scandal of his involvement with interns. Fox News covered it for the most part but it was dismissed for the most part by the MSM.

Eric Massa is one of the few Democrats who willingly  resigned his seat.  Charlie Rangel is a criminal and a thug and he unwillingly gave up his chairmanship on the House Ways and Means committee but not his seat.  A liberal is never embarrassed in regards to their lack of morality.  The press barely touched the story. It has been an issue for a couple of years but there has been no investigative reporting to expose this crook.

Barney Frank and his "partner" running a house of male prostitution out of Barney's Washington DC townhouse and Barney saying he had no clue it was going on. The press took him at his word. It was basically dropped. Barney boy would never think about resigning, he has no shame.

Scandals on both sides of the aisle are fairly frequent. It is the way they are covered that has compromised the press.

Barack Obama got a free pass from the night he spoke at the 2004 Democratic convention till a few minutes ago. In other words, Obama is untouchable. He can do no wrong in the eyes of the press. His ideology is off limits, along with his socialist ideas and his amateurish approach in foreign policy. He is never questioned with any intensity. He has had more pantywaist, softball interviews from the press than any President before him including Bill Clinton.

If the majority of people in this country held the same view the press holds, then I would move so far from these shores that I would be credited with finding an unchartered island named Gilligan's.
